About the Mission

Designed to study the interior of Mars. Detected the first marsquakes. Discovered that the Martian core is larger and less dense than expected. The mole heat probe failed to dig deep enough due to unexpected soil properties. Declared mission over in December 2022 after dust covered the solar panels.
