Apollo 15
About the Mission
The first advanced J mission with a lunar rover. Dave Scott and Jim Irwin spent 3 days on the Moon and drove 27 km. Found the Genesis Rock, a piece of the original lunar crust about 4 billion years old. Scott dropped a hammer and a feather together to prove Galileo right in the vacuum. The rover remains parked on the surface near the Hadley landing site.
