About the Mission

The first mission ever to return samples from the far side of the Moon, in June 2024. Collected about 1,900 grams from the South Pole-Aitken basin region. Used a relay satellite to communicate, like Chang e 4. The material may include pieces of the lunar mantle. Cemented China as a leading lunar power.
